For us, the ideal sake of tomorrow is one that invites you to truly savor the deep umami of the rice - a sake meant to be enjoyed with cuisine.
Through Shochikubai Shirakabegura “Nend”, we continue to share the joy of drinking fine sake with as many people as possible, in Japan and around the world.

  • Ingredients: Rice (domestically grown), Rice Koji (domestically grown rice)
  • Rice Variety: 100% Yamada Nishiki from Nishiwaki, Hyogo Prefecture
  • Alcohol Content: 16.0% -17.0%
  • Brewing Method: Kimoto Method, unfiltered, undiluted sake, bag-hanging pressing

Tasting Notes

A gentle yet expressive bouquet, highlighted by a vibrant sense of fresh melon, hints of yogurt, and a delicate floral nuance reminiscent of fragrant osmanthus. Behind these layers lies the refined scent of steamed rice and a subtle grain-like note evocative of sakura mochi, all balanced by a mineral edge akin to wet stone.
The first impression brings soft sweetness and a rounded, expansive texture, while toward the finish, a chalky grip lends a subtle tension across the palate. The mid-palate reveals harmonious umami, resulting in a sophisticated and well-balanced flavor profile.
