Raw Alcohol



Firmly rooted in the history of sake making, we will hand the Japanese sake culture on to the next generation.

Takara produces raw alcohol in continuous distillation equipment for sale to brewers throughout Japan as a raw material for sake brewing.
Takara has acquired a range of sake brewing technologies and applicable biotechnologies that are useful in sake brewing. To support sake manufacturers, we foster partnerships with sake brewers by supplying them, as needed, with yeast, enzymes and other items essential to the production of alcoholic beverages. It is our desire that Japan’s sake-making tradition be preserved and we are therefore committed to staying involved in the basics of sake brewing and contributing to the industry. This commitment shapes our business activities in this sector.
We also commenced manufacture and sales of industrial alcohol under the Alcohol Business Law, which was enforced in 2001, and actively strive to develop our raw alcohol business.
