Our production volume for FY 1998 was down 8% from FY 1997, reducing the total volume of resources and energy consumed. In particular, we reduced total volume of fuel use and volume of fuel consumed per unit of production through energy efficient distillation. Our increase in electric consumption stemmed from the production of increased product and container types. In conjunction with ISO14001 certification, our production division plans energy and resource conservation through streamlining the production system.
