TaKaRa's Corporate Ideals were Born through our Conservation Activities

The TaKaRa corporate ideal of "Harmony with Nature, Humans and Society" was born from a history of natural conservation activities, beginning with the 1979 "Come Back Salmon" campaign. The Hokkaido Come Back Salmon Campaign went beyond monetary contributions, to become a comprehensive campaign to support citizen movements through activities such as monthly newspaper advertisements announcing citizen activities, fund collecting through our distribution channels, and promoting the campaign through product packaging.

The movement began as a marketing theme, but since then has spread throughout the country and overseas. Corporate activities in sync with nature, such as the salmon campaign and the later Protect the Pines and Protect the Bamboo campaigns, seemed a proper direction for a corporation creating products from water and grain. In 1985, we established our corporate ideal. The TaKaRa corporate ideal is not only the base for our natural conservation activities; it was born through natural conservation activities and all is now the base for all TaKaRa corporate activities.
