leaf2 Environmental Burdens: Emissions & Effluents
This Is How Much Gaseous Emissions and Waste Water (*) Were Generated to Produce and Distribute Our Products. (* Our own factories' emissions only)

Alcohol is produced by fermentation of sugar, which turns the sugar into alcohol and CO2 . Carbon dioxide is also produced when electricity is generated and when gas or fuel oil or other energy sources are burned, and more CO2 is emitted during distribution. Such atmospheric pollutants as nitrogen oxides (NOx) and sulfur oxides (SOx) are also produced when energy is consumed. TaKaRa is striving to reduce atmospheric emissions of these and other gases by consuming less energy. We are also investing in water purification and water use efficiency technologies to reduce waste water.
