In 2006, the Rice and Sake School marked its 3rd anniversary. Through experiencing rice growing techniques and observing nature around the rice paddies, we convey how precious nature is and express gratitude for the blessings of nature. Participants, young and old, learn social rules such as proper drinking habits. |
 Part of revenues generated from the sale of sake made in the Rice and Sake School was donated to the Green Fund
A limited amount of sake that has been carefully brewed at Shirakabe-gura using Akita-komachi rice grown by the families at the Rice and Sake School is available from our online shop. Part of the revenue generated is donated to the Green Fund. |
