Creating an Iki-Iki Society

Creating a Better Society with All Stakeholders

We marked the 21st anniversary of the TaKaRa Harmonist Fund to subsidize nature protection activities. Takara Shuzo is committed to continuing with various social contribution activities in tandem with all of our stakeholders.

TaKaRa Harmonist Fund (a public trust)

Takara Holdings Inc., on the 60th anniversary of Takara Shuzo’s founding in 1985, established a public trust named the TaKaRa Harmonist Fund. Every year since then, the Fund has extended aid to organizations and individuals that undertake activities to preserve forests and natural waterside environments in Japan, and conduct research on protecting living organisms. In 2006, this Fund celebrated its 21st anniversary. It has contributed a total of 110.25 million yen to 230 projects in 40 prefectures. This year, 11 projects were selected, including a research project entitled, “Ecological research on genetic contamination of wild killifish by bred killifish released in the river” by the Biology Club of Asa High School, a public high school in Yamaguchi Prefecture. This marked the first time a project in Yamaguchi was selected.
