Message from the President



Striving for a “green-ink” company that delivers “iki-iki” (happiness) to our stakeholders.

The business activities of Takara Shuzo are based on the gifts of nature, such as water and farm products. Because our operation cannot thrive without an abundant natural environment, a spirit of enterprise that takes the natural environment into account has been fostered in Takara Shuzo since inception. We uphold harmony between nature, society and people as our corporate philosophy and have been proactively engaged in nature conservation and preservation of the global environment. In 1998, we started "green-ink" accounting, employing our original indicator called ECO and the results have been published in our “Green-Ink” Accounting Reports. Last year, the first “Green-Ink” Corporate Report was issued to communicate, in detail, our social activities other than environmental activities. In that report, I indicated that we are striving to be a "green-ink" company that can deliver “iki-iki” (happiness) to our stakeholders.

It is a prerequisite to delivering “iki-iki” to our stakeholders that we observe the laws and rules of society in order to gain society's confidence. We have stipulated in the “Takara Group Code of Conduct” observance of the law and social ethics as the basic principle of our performance and we have communicated this to all employees. Based on this prerequisite, it is our most sincere desire to contribute to our customers’ affluent lifestyles and happiness by providing tasty, safe and reliable products that meet their diverse needs.

To this end, we attach a high value to customers queries that are directed to our Customer Service Office and collected through sales activities. We also endeavor to develop products that serve constantly changing market needs, by utilizing market research and proposals from our employees. In addition, to deliver safe products, we use only raw materials that have passed stringent safety and quality checks. The quality of our products is assured by strict inspections carried out according to our reliable quality management system.

Meanwhile, to deliver “iki-iki” to our stakeholders, it is important to establish a working environment where our employees can work with vitality. I hope that our employees can experience the joy of working and a sense of fulfillment by realizing a cheerful and ideal corporate culture that offers many opportunities for exchanging views with top management.

Building on its “iki-iki” (happy and healthy) corporate culture, Takara Shuzo will endeavor to become a "green-ink" company that brings happiness to people, so that we can continue to enjoy the support of our customers and bring value to stakeholders through cooperation with them.
