[Message from related organization]
The Council for Glass Bottle Recycling consists of manufacturers and users of glass bottles, cullet and bottle traders and other business operators related to glass bottle recycling. To promote the 3Rs (reduce, reuse and recycle) for glass bottles, in response to the Basic Law for Establishing the Recycling-Based Society and the Law for the Promotion of Sorted Collection and Recycling of Containers and Packaging, we are performing our activities by promoting information exchange and cooperation among member companies.
The Law for the Promotion of Sorted Collection and Recycling of Containers and Packaging is now under review after being in force for 10 years. In order to restrain generation, efforts are required to introduce even lighter glass bottles while maintaining their functions as containers. Wider usage of returnable bottles is another issue to be addressed because usage has been decreasing. For recycling, it is necessary to increase the percentage of cullet usage in the production of bottles and to develop and expand the demand for recycled glass for other uses.
The Council will continue to implement activities for the promotion of the 3Rs for glass bottles, with the advice and cooperation of Takara Shuzo and other member companies. |

Greeting Each Other Results in a Cheerful Workplace
At Fushimi Factory we aim to create a lively, positive workplace and actively nurture human treasures. We hold lecture meetings, inviting famous speakers, and have set up a library corner in the cafeteria for the benefit of employees. Making a habit of greeting each other in the morning meeting, the beginning of a day, has invigorated our workplace.

First Female Manager in the Company
Takara Shuzo now is positive in the appointment of female personnel. When I entered the company, female workers were mainly assigned to subordinate tasks. However, I believe that currently female workers have the opportunity if they act on their own initiative. There are a full range of skill development programs and I have studied at external seminars. In the current section, I am responsible for social insurance and welfare program procedures. My current assignment gives me a sense of fulfillment because I am involved in the kind of work that helps other employees to work comfortably.

Making Full Use of Company Programs
Takara Shuzos benefit programs are worth making use of, because you can select the program that suits you best at any given time from a wide array of choices. Recently, I sent flowers on Mothers Day, using the anniversary plan. For correspondence courses for self-development, the company reimburses part of the cost when you have completed the course. I have been qualified as a sales person through a correspondence course so that I can use the qualification in my job. I would like to take a wine advisor qualification next.
