Safe raw materials are the starting point for safe products
We procure materials – the starting point for product manufacturing – from suppliers that can guarantee us stable quality and supply. We obtain quality assurance certificates and confirm that the materials comply with related laws and regulations. In particular, imported materials, which follow different standards from Japan, are tested for residual agricultural chemicals, and we conduct analyses both within and outside the company to confirm the quality. We use only materials whose quality is assured.
For our main ingredients, we regularly visit suppliers to oversee and provide guidance on quality control activities.

In 2000, we divided the manufacturing floors in our factories into General Areas, Sanitary Areas, and Special Sanitary Areas, with separate sanitation management standards for each. Areas where containers are filled with finished product require the strictest levels of sanitary control, so we manage our filler rooms as Special Sanitary Areas, outfitting these to clean room standards.
We’ve also strengthened standards with regard to washing hands, clothing, the cleaning of production facilities, and insect proofing and we incorporated these standards into the sanitation management rules.
By raising sanitation management standards in terms of both equipment and operation, we are striving to maintain a high level of sanitation for product safety and stable quality.
Reliable labeling
Labeling is important because the information conveyed connects the customer and the product. To provide easy-to-understand and accurate information, the Quality Assurance Dept. confirms that the descriptions on the labels conform to the law in terms of additives, allergies, and recombinant gene information.
Laws concerning labeling, fair competition rules, industry standards and internal rules are released to related divisions to promote a unified understanding. We strive towards fair quality labeling to offer safe and reliable products.
